This peel is minimal downtime. After 24 hours, clients may apply makeup and return to work, etc…
Occasionally, the skin may break out in the first 6 weeks.
Existing pigmentation may darken initially before lightening, this is temporary and is due to the increased blood flow. It will go lighter in a few weeks.

This type of peel is great for someone with congested, acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it penetrates deeply into your pores to clear congestion. This peel is not suitable for skin types 5 and 6.

This is used as a light peel and can be applied once every two to four weeks, depending on the skin condition. These peels rarely require downtime because they only remove the skin's outermost layer.

Chemical peels are skin exfoliating procedures used to improve the tone, texture and colour of the skin and is especially helpful in improving the lusterless appearance of facial skin that often accompanies photoaging. This treatment is also helpful for improving minor facial discoloration (brown or age spots) and fine lines or wrinkles. Acne blemishes, blackheads and whiteheads can likewise be improved.

Pre-treatment care is recommended before your chemical peel.
1. Discontinue Certain Products: 2/3 days before, these include retinol, AHA’s, BHA’s and other exfoliating agents.
2. Sun Protection: Protecting your skin from sun exposure is crucial before and after a chemical peel. Avoid excessive sun exposure and use broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF on a daily basis to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Sunscreen should be applied even on cloudy days.
3. Avoid Hair Removal: Refrain from waxing, threading, or any other form of hair removal in the treatment area before a chemical peel. These methods can sensitize the skin and increase the risk of adverse reactions.

Caring for your skin after your peel plays an important role in the overall results. Correct post-care will assist in the healing process, minimize the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation and ensure the best possible results are achieved.
Generally, makeup can be applied the next day
Avoid exercise or other heat-related activities such as Sauna, hot showers, etc… for at least the next 24 hours
Direct sun exposure must be avoided for the next 48 to 72 hours
Broad spectrum sunscreen of high SPF must be worn daily
Do not resume AHA’s, BHA, retinol or other medicated creams for at least 48 hours
Please remember that improvement may not be seen immediately and a series of treatments is necessary to obtain optimum results.
After the treatment, the skin is initially red due to an increase in circulation. Flaking and peeling of the skin is common in the first few days, we strongly advise that you do NOT pick/pull off the flaky skin at any time, this can cause post-inflammatory pigmentation and delay the healing process.
