A superficial peel improves skin texture, lessens the appearance of fine lines, and treats acne and acne scarring. The results are subtle after one standalone treatment, but better results are seen with repeated peel treatments.
It is always advised to have a consultation with your Dermal therapist before any facial treatment. This helps us determine areas of concern. At DermaIN we offer all our new clients a complimentary consultation.
After 24 hours, your skin should return to normal depending on your skin concern. Please expect most peeling or flaking can occur up to 1 week after the peel but this does not happen to everyone. Some breakouts are also possible and darkening of existing pigmentation. Please follow our recommended homecare advice to care for your skin post-peel. Within seven to fourteen days, your skin should be completely healed.
Chemical peels are not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or nursing, or for anyone who has an active infection, dermatitis, or sunburn.
